Terms of Use
Version 3 · Last updated October 24, 2026
Terms at a glance
- Wado lets guests send service requests from a room or amenity link, and lets your hotel receive, assign and track them.
- Accounts are created by invitation. You are responsible for your account and for the staff you add.
- Your hotel and guest data stays yours. We use it only to run the service.
- Use the service lawfully and only for your own property. Do not share guest links, codes or tags outside it.
- The service is provided as is, without an uptime guarantee, and our liability is limited.
- Texas law governs these terms.
1. Acceptance and who may use the service
These terms are an agreement between you and Wado, operated by TODOOR CONTRACTING, LLC and Alanitech, LLC ("Wado", "we", "us"). By signing in, accepting these terms in the app or otherwise using Wado, you agree to them.
If you use the service for a hotel, you confirm that you may bind that hotel and you accept these terms for both yourself and the hotel. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live. [TODO: confirm minimum age]
Guests who open a room or amenity page do not need an account and do not accept these terms to view or use that page; the hotel is responsible for how it uses the service with its guests.
2. The service
Wado is a guest-service platform for hotels. Today it includes:
- Guest pages for rooms and amenities, opened from a link, QR code or NFC tag, where guests send service requests without an app or account.
- A hotel dashboard where hotel administrators see requests live, assign staff, resolve or cancel requests, create requests on a guest's behalf, review history and analytics, manage staff and shifts, and message the Wado support team.
- A staff app where staff members whom the hotel or the Wado team gave a login (hotel code, employee ID and PIN) see only the requests assigned to them, accept, decline or finish them, and can turn on alerts on their phone.
- Hotel setup done by the Wado team: hotel details, rooms, amenities, departments, services, staff and configuration.
Staff members are listed for assignment and do not sign in to the dashboard; the staff app is where they sign in. Features not described here, for example automatic notifications to staff when a request is submitted, are not part of the service.
3. Accounts
Accounts are created by invitation from Wado. Sign in with your email and password, and keep your credentials private. Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
You are responsible for everything done under your account and for the staff and other details you add. You are also responsible for the staff logins that are created for your hotel: give each person their temporary PIN safely and suspend the login of anyone who leaves. Tell us promptly at privacy@heywado.com if you think your account has been used without permission. We may require you to accept a new version of these terms before you continue using the dashboard.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for anything unlawful, or to upload or send content you do not have the right to use;
- share guest links, QR codes, entry codes or NFC tags outside your property, or use another hotel's links;
- try to access data or accounts that are not yours, or test, probe or bypass the security, rate limits or caps of the service;
- scrape the service, or reverse engineer, copy or resell it, except where the law allows it despite this restriction;
- send malware, spam or harassing, abusive or infringing content, including in guest notes or the support chat;
- use the service in a way that could harm its availability for others.
We may suspend access that breaks these rules.
5. Your content and data
You keep ownership of the content and data you or your guests put into the service, including hotel details, staff details, guest requests and notes, and chat messages ("your content").
You give us a limited license to host, store, process and display your content only as needed to run, secure and support the service for you. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions to provide your content, including any notices to or consents from your staff and guests required by law.
You can ask us to remove content at privacy@heywado.com. What happens to data after termination is described in section 11 and in our Privacy Policy.
6. Guests and requests
Guest requests are sent to your hotel and handled by you. We do not fulfil requests, and we do not guarantee that a request is seen, assigned or completed on time. You decide how your staff respond, and you are responsible for guest safety and service. Do not rely on the service for emergencies; guests should use your front desk or local emergency services.
Guest links expire and can be regenerated. You are responsible for who can open them.
7. Intellectual property
We and our licensors own the Wado software, design, brand and website content. These terms give you only a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for your own hotel. Nothing here transfers any of our rights to you.
If you send us feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or payment.
8. Third-party services
The service relies on third-party providers, for example Supabase for data storage and authentication and, when enabled, Bird for text messages. Their own terms apply to their services. See the Privacy Policy for the list.
9. Fees
These terms do not set prices. [TODO: confirm fees, billing, renewal, cancellation and refund terms, or state that the service is provided under a separate written agreement.]
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation and we do not offer an uptime guarantee. We may change, add or discontinue features, and we may perform maintenance. We will try to give notice of changes that significantly affect you.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we must by law, or to protect the service or other users.
When access ends, your hotel's dashboard stops working. [TODO: confirm what happens to hotel data after termination and for how long it is kept; this must match the retention section of the Privacy Policy.]
12. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Analytics and figures shown in the dashboard are based on the data recorded and may be incomplete; do not treat them as exact.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, neither Wado nor TODOOR CONTRACTING, LLC nor Alanitech, LLC is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim. [TODO: lawyer to confirm the cap and carve-outs.] Some places do not allow some of these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend and compensate us against claims, losses and costs arising from your content, your breach of these terms, or your use of the service in violation of the law or of someone's rights, including claims brought by your guests or staff.
15. Governing law and disputes
Texas law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. [TODO: confirm the county and venue for disputes and whether to require arbitration.]
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we publish a new version, hotel administrators are asked to read and accept it before they continue. The version number and date are shown at the top of this page.
17. General
If a part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These terms, with the Privacy Policy and any written agreement between us, are the entire agreement about the service. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a business transfer.
18. Contact
Questions about these terms: privacy@heywado.com. [TODO: add a mailing address for notices.]
